Topic: Sink or Swim, the choice for a New Era in Offshore Operations
Innovation is a key to survival through the tough times in the offshore Oil and Gas sector. Conventional methodologies for marine-based data harvesting and reporting are now being challenged on cost, safety and reliability stand point. Operators in Australia and around the world have identified this need and risen to the challenge by employing robotic autonomous marine vehicle technology to perform a large number of data harvesting missions to great success.
This presentation will cover some of these missions and show how surface-based autonomous marine vehicles can deliver valuable data over many months of sea, without intervention from expensive vessels or crew with applications ranging from seismic acquisition, SEEP mapping, meteorological ocean studies through to acoustic monitoring solutions. This presentation will reveal the art of the possible using autonomous marine vehicles in Oil and Gas.
